For carrying the new Chiappa .380, the best rig I found was Bianchi Frontier Gunleather’s new Auto-Quick model. The holster only surrounds the middle of the frame and triggerguard, so barrel length is not a factor here. The Auto-Quick’s design puts the wearer’s belt through loops on the front of the pouch (rather than behind it like traditional Yaqui slide styles), so the gun and holster are held closer to the waistline for better concealment. The pocket carry issue with the Chiappa MC 14 comes down to the longer, wider grips required for the double-stack magazine. It is a gun best suited to carry in a belt holster. By comparison, the new Glock 42, also fairly large for a .380, is just slightly smaller, 0.44 inches less in slide length, 1.04 inches in height and almost half an inch narrower.
