SHOT Show 2017 officially kicked off today, but the real fun actually began on Monday with the 10th annual Industry Day at the Range at the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club in Boulder City, Nevada. In case you didn’t know, Industry Day at the Range is a huge event that involves industry manufacturers, dealers, buyers, retailers and members of the media getting together on the range to test out all the latest wares that are making waves. It’s essentially the ultimate hands-on experience. And with over 200 exhibitors, including Smith & Wesson, Springfield Armory, Glock, Colt, and many more, there sure was a lot to experience. In fact, this year’s Industry Day at the Range was the biggest one yet. We have no doubt it’s only going to get bigger in the years to come.

With that in mind, we sent Aaron Barruga down to take it all in. Aaron is U.S. Army Special Forces veteran with deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan and the Pacific Theater of Operations under his belt. He’s a renowned instructor, and he’s the founder of Guerrilla Approach, a California-based company that teaches vehicle tactics and active shooter takedown classes to military and law enforcement students. We couldn’t ask for somebody more qualified to cover this event.
