Anderson Manufacturing Kiger-9c Pro: Upgrades and EDC Ready

Anderson Manufacturing recently released the next iteration of the its popular Kiger line of semi-auto pistols–the Kiger-9c Pro. The new optic-ready pistol comes packed with component and feature enhancements in a tactically-styled EDC package.

Anderson first announced the Kiger-9c recently back during SHOT Shot, but we now have more info on this new blaster. And at first glance, it looks impressive. Back in December, we brought you coverage on the Kiger-9C on PDW. The new Pro variant brings several upgraded features.

The all-steel iron sights come at suppressor height on the Kiger-9c Pro.

First, the basics. The Kiger-9c Pro comprises a striker-fired, locked-breech, short-recoil operated semi-automatic pistol. Like much of the EDC world these days, it comes chambered in 9mm. It features a polymer frame with an optimized beaver tail and aggressive texturing, according to Anderson. An undercut trigger guard should help achieve a solid, high grip. Meanwhile, a forward Picatinny rail provides surface area for accessory attachment. But the real updates on this pistol come via enhanced controls, including an extended magazine and slide release.

The Kiger-9c Pro’s billet side comes manufactured from 416 stainless steel. It utilizes a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating. The striking appearance of the skeletonized slide also reduces weight through its three ports. The ports reside topside and on either side, all frontside on the slide. The rear sides of the slide feature serrations for optimal handling.

On top of the slide, steel, blacked out, suppressor-height front and rear sights keep with current trends. The flank the Rugged Miniature Reflex (RMR)-pattern optic cut, also answering current industry demand.

Inside, the 416R, 3.91-inch fluted, DLC-coated barrel sports a recessed crown. It utilizes a 1:10 twist for 9mm ammunition. Lightweight and built to carry, the Kiger-9c Pro brings an overall capacity of 15+1. it ships with one PMAG, carrying case, target, cable lock and owner’s manual.
