ATW Companies, a leading provider of engineered metal solutions for the medical and defense industries, has unveiled a new line of magazines specifically designed for concealed carry.
Released under ATW’s Metalform brand, the new Pro-Carry magazines are available in both standard 7-round and officer’s 6-round 1911 sizes. According to the press release, these magazines are also coated with a special low friction Xylan coating, which helps to guarantee that magazine changes will be executed smoothly and ensures that empty magazines will not need to be pulled manually from the pistol.
Both the body and follower of the reliable, resilient Pro-carry magazines are made out of durable heat-treated stainless steel and feature a special flat-skirted follower and extra power spring. Essentially, these magazines are built with the care and precision designed to guarantee proper function.
As the press release points out, Metalforms consolidated with ATW’s firearms and defense capabilities — which include precision CNC machining, metal injection molding (MIM), laser cutting, precision metal tubing, and stamping — after being acquired by ATW’s precision stamping and tube drawing subsidiary A.T. Wall in 2011. Consolidating manufacturing operations enabled the company to bring a renewed technology focus when it comes to developing new products, which resulted in the introduction of products like the Pro-Carry line of magazines.
Metalform has a variety of different capabilities, including deep-drawing, stamping, and pistol magazine fabrication. Some of the most popular Metalform products include 38 caliber, 45 caliber, and 9 mm magazines, all of which are supplied to the top companies in the firearms industry.
