This week’s list has a serious “want” in the form of the FN 509 Tactical pistol. When Steve Fisher, of Sentinel Concepts says it’s a gun we need to take a look at, then it must be a nice gun.

Also on the list are the Tactical To Go Double Gun Case, Seiko’s Prospex SBEP Digital Dive Watch, the Opinel N°08 pocket knife, and the Gatorz Magnum Z Sunglasses.

Take a closer look at this week’s list, including MSRPs, below.

FN 509 Tactical 9mm Pistol

The U.S. Army’s loss is our gain. Why does this gun stand out from the others that tried and failed? FN touts this handgun is a major evolution to the 509 platform.

The FN 509 Tactical features a patent-pending Low-Profile Optics Mounting System. In gun guy language, this means you can drop almost every commercially available red dot on this gun without sending the slide in for milling.

FN designed the sight with wings to protect the iron sight when dropped or using the rear sight to rack the action. It comes with a stainless-steel barrel with target crown, (½” x 28 threads) and accepts the bulk of 9mm suppressors.

Tactical To Go Double Gun Case

It’s time to go to that rifle class you have been looking forward to for the past four months. You head down to the gun room and grab two rifles, an ammo can, ear and eye protection, eight rifle magazines, four pistol magazines and two pistols. You put all of this gear into at least three different bags/cases and make four trips to the truck.

Or, get one the Tactical To Go Double Gun Case and fit everything in one place. The hard case is designed with a custom foam interior that will fit two standard 16-inch AR-15 style rifles with collapsible stocks. The double case comes with enough nooks and crannies to accommodate everything else you need to be amazing in the class … except maybe some mad rifle skills.

MSRP: $269.99 (currently on sale for $189)

SEIKO Prospex SBEP “Digital Tuna” Watch

Ballistic Gear Grab, SEIKO Digital Tuna watch, SEIKO Prospex SBEP

Seiko must be getting tired of seeing G-Shock watches on every Instagram range photo. OK, I’m sure they don’t even look at IG range photos.

The Seiko Prospex SBEP line sports a digital watch face that housed in a rugged looking case with a functional rotating bezel. The solar-powered watch is water-resistant to 200 meters. It comes with all the bells and whistles you would expect, like alarms, world time and timer functions.

The Prospex SBEP isn’t available in the U.S. right now but, at a starting price of little more than $250, it could become the new tactic-cool wrist bling.

Estimated MSRP: $250ish (depending on the model)

A knife like great grandpa carried, and why not? Founded in the Savoie region of the French Alps, Opinel has been making knives for more than 120 years. What makes the Opinel so cool is its simplicity.

The N°08 is an unassuming EDC knife sporting a 3.35-inch carbon steel blade and a rotating collar lock with a hardwood handle. This blade does everything you need it to, from cutting fruit and opening packages to gutting a trout. All for less than $20.

You can get the Opinel in sizes from N°02 up to the giant N°13. The blades come in carbon or stainless steel, also available with fiberglass-reinforced polyamide handles. I recommend sticking to the classic — in 40 years it could be the only hardwood in your pants.

MSRP: $15

Gatorz Magnum Z – ANSI Z87+ Sunglasses

Ballistic Gear Grab, Gatorz Magnum Z - ANSI Z87+ Sunglasses

From motorcycles to skydiving to special forces, Gatoz is building a solid reputation.

I have been wearing a pair of the handcrafted Magnum Z glasses for most of the year. They have been on family vacations, doing yard work and countless hours on the range. Sure, they are impact resistant, UV sun blocking cool guy glasses, but they are also tough as hell and supper comfortable.

Made from 7075-billet aircraft aluminum, they are ultra-light, thin and fully adjustable. When you are on the range for six-plus hours wearing over the ear protection, pressing your glasses into the flesh behind your ears sucks. These glasses don’t suck. They come packaged in an aluminum case that will protect them from a grenade or everyday life in the bottom of my range bag.

MSRP: $200
