We recently took out the new Barnett TS380 Crossbow out to the range. We put it up against a few badass high-density self-healing 3D foam targets from Delta McKenzie. Watch the video above for a full rundown.
Barnett TS380 Details
The Barnett TS380 is a fantastic bow for beginner archers and experienced target shooters and game hunters alike. The “TS” stands for Tactical Series. With a sleek and compact profile, the digital gray-wrapped limbs and high-energy cams deliver 201-pounds of draw. Weighing in at a mere 6.9 pounds, this bow produces an impressive 122 ft-lbs of kinetic energy; it sends 380-grain arrows flying at 380 fps.
The Barnett TS380 is also comfortable and ergonomic in the hands. It features an adjustable length-of-pull buttstock and pass-through foregrip; they both allow this high-speed crossbow to easily and comfortably be shouldered by almost any shooter.
The skeletonized TriggerTech trigger incorporates Frictionless Release Technology. What does that mean? The tech creates a free-floating roller between the sear and the trigger; this provides a smoother, lighter trigger that was really astounding to work with. Safety always being first, the TriggerTech trigger also features anti-dry fire technology. Barnett went the extra mile and incorporated additional features, including nock sensors and a three-pound, zero-creep release that really helps to instill confidence when going through the motions of executing your shot.
The patented Soft Lok floating bristle arrow retainer also helps ensure safety. Meanwhile, the premium aluminum flight track rounds out the package. Three Picatinny rails offer mounting options for the 4x32mm multi-reticle Halo scope and lightweight side-mount quiver that comes with the package and any other desired accessories. Also included is a handy rope cocking device; this is a must for anyone who isn’t jacked like John Rambo. Barnett also includes two 20-inch headhunter arrows and lubrication wax for the strings. Finally, track-mounted string dampeners and an anti-vibration foot stirrup help reduce noise and vibration for a quieter, more accurate and stable shot.
