Bear Creek Arsenal gets Wylde with its new .223 Wyldefyr rifle chambered in the versatile .223 Wylde. Promising sub 1 MOA accuracy, the rifle comes standard with a 3-pound trigger and Heavy Barrel profile. In addition, the AR-15 includes Magpul furniture and a right-side charging handle.

Building on billet upper and lower receivers, the Wyldefyr takes the typical AR-15 platform and switches it up with a right-side charging handle. As a result, retracting the bolt carrier group doesn’t require shifting the rifle and allows for stocks with cheek risers. In addition, this also cleans up the side profile by removing the forward assist (but did it need it anyway?). However, the right-side-only operation makes the BCG manipulation more difficult for left-handed shooters.

The lower receiver features an upgraded Magpul buttstock and grip. Likewise, the upper includes a 15-inch M-Lok rail with slots around its circumference for attaching additional accessories. The rail also includes two small sections of Picatinny rail at the front and rear. Correspondingly, the rail at the rear meets up with the full-length rail on the upper receiver for attaching optics.

Riding within the rail is the 20-inch hand-lapped heavy barrel with a straight fluted 416R stainless steel finish, chambered in .223 Wylde. The barrel features a 1:8 twist with a polished feed ramp and rifle-length gas system. In addition, the muzzle includes a 1/2×28 thread pitch for attaching suppressors and other muzzle devices. Correspondingly, it ships with a flash hider already installed.

Boasting sub 1 MOA accuracy, the Wyldefyr sends rounds downrange via a 3-pound Velocity trigger.
