Sometimes, you just want to find the sweet spot between concealability and handling for personal daily concealed carry. Specifically, something that carries like a sub-compact and performs like a full size. This is where the Beretta APX A1 Compact comes in. It falls nicely in between the APX A1 Carry and the APX A1 FS (Full-Size).
The Beretta APX A1 Compact Pistol
Taking design cues from the Full Size, the Compact builds on a polymer frame. Likewise, the removable and interchangeable grips help dial in the feel and are compatible with the entire APX family. Correspondingly, the grip features enhanced texturing and extended frame stippling for a more consistent grip. In addition, a higher undercut trigger guard and enhanced beavertail provide a more natural shooting position and better recoil control.
Riding atop the frame is the slide with new forward and rear slide serrations and Aqua Tech Shield coating. Providing the aiming solution is a fully serrated rear sight coupled with a red fiber optic front sight. Correspondingly, the APX A1 Compact features an ample 5.7-inch sight radius to aid in accuracy. However, if you prefer an optic, the slide is cut to accept the most common red dot sights available.
The slide houses a 3.7-inch barrel chambered in 9mm. Additionally, the Compact promotes enhanced accuracy with its improved trigger mechanism and new rounded trigger profile. Specifically, the trigger features one of the shortest resets in its class, plus a lighter, constant trigger weight spread over a short stroke. This couples with a competition striker spring for ideal performance and accuracy.
Available for both free and restrictive states, the APX A1 Compact ships with either two 15-round or two 10-round magazines.
