As the name suggests, the Optic Ready rifle has a low-profile gas block so there is no front sight tower to obstruct the view through a scope or red-dot sight. The upper receiver has a Picatinny rail that allows a shooter to quickly add glass for precision shooting. Both the upper and lower receiver are forged from 7075-T6 aluminum that have been hardcoat black anodized for long-term durability.
Alpha 220H
With a more traditional look, the Alpha 220H rifle is equipped with an A2-style buttstock, carry handle and a 20-inch barrel. The chrome-moly barrel has a heavy profile with a 1-in-9-inch twist. It is threaded and capped with an A2-type muzzle device. The upper receiver is forged 7075-T6 aluminum and features an integral carry handle. Adjustable iron sights are standard on the rifle. The Alpha 220H has a phosphated bolt carrier assembly with a chrome-lined interior and carrier key. The gas key is staked. Carpenter 158 steel is used to make the rifle bolt, and it is heat-treated. Del-Ton includes a single 30-round magazine with the rifle.
Evolution
The Evolution is equipped with everything a shooter would immediately need for home defense or law enforcement duties. At its core, the Evolution is a semi-automatic AR-15 chambered in 5.56mm. It has a lightweight 16-inch barrel and forged uppers and lowers. On this rifle, Del-Ton uses a Samson Evolution free-floated handguard with partial-length Picatinny rails in the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions for the addition of accessories such as a white light. The top of the handguard has a full-length Picatinny rail. A set of folding Samson sights is also included. A Magpul CTR serves as the rifle’s buttstock. Magpul also provides the MOE pistol grip.
Alpha 320G
Many people prefer a fixed stock for the stability it provides, and Del-Ton offers several options for these customers. One good choice to consider is the Alpha 320G. This rifle is fitted with an A2-style stock and a government-profile, 20-inch barrel with a standard-length gas system. The barrel is threaded and comes with a birdcage for reducing flash signature. It is chambered in 5.56mm and has M4-type feed ramps. Del-Ton uses a flattop upper that can be outfitted with the rear sight or optic of the shooter’s choice. The upper is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum and hardcoat anodized. Likewise, the lower receiver is also forged and anodized.
Sierra 316H
This optic-ready rifle sports a 16-inch, chrome-moly barrel and a mid-length gas system. The heavy-profile barrel is threaded with a 1-in-9-inch twist and has an A2-style flash suppressor attached. The mid-length handguards have a single heat shield to protect the shooter from the heat of a fired barrel. Equipped with a six-position adjustable stock, the length of pull can be adjusted to fit the individual shooter. The flattop receiver allows for the addition of nearly any kind of optic.
Extreme Duty 316
