The novel coronavirus and the ensuing COVID-19 pandemic changed the world. Rightly so, all walks of life shifted attention to stopping the spread of a deadly disease. But quietly, in the shadows, Joe Biden continued his push for the White House, now becoming the presumptive Democratic nominee. And let there be no mistake, Biden’s nomination definitively makes the 2020 race for the presidency all about guns. This week he released “The Biden Plan to End Our Gun Violence Epidemic,” which puts Joe’s agenda right out in the open.

Biden Launches ‘Plan to End Gun Violence Epidemic’

Part mantra, part money-generating machine, the Joe Biden website launched a page dedicated to his gun control initiatives. Of course, it wears a can’t-miss donation tab across the top, soliciting donations from $5 to $500, or the coveted “other” amount in excess.

But when the panhandling ends, the nausea truly begins. Biden clearly wants to irrevocably wreck the Second Amendment. Highlights begin with destroying the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act. This would open up gun companies to frivolous lawsuits, potentially bankrupting companies, and destroying thousands of American jobs in the process.

Joe wants to completely ban the manufacture and sale of so-called “assault weapons” and high-capacity magazines. He wants to take what the Democrats did in 1994, make it widely more inclusive of more types of guns and magazines, and ban them all forever.

Assault Weapons & Much, Much More

Biden also has a plan for existing assault weapons. They would be regulated by the NFA, essentially turning your AR-15 into the same classification as a machine gun. And then they’re going to institute a buy back program. They’re going to take our money to buy back our guns, that they of course never sold in the first place.

Finally, background checks will become universal, in every way, for every gun transfer. Make that for whatever gun is actually left still legal to own. Loopholes, circumventing due process, establishing of task forces; you name it, and this plan includes a ban, prohibition or outright constitutional infringement.

And a caveat: Biden would “end the online sale of firearms and ammunitions.” This would include all online sales of firearms, ammunition, kits and gun parts.

In totality, “The Biden Plan to End Our Gun Violence Epidemic” represents the most egregious collection of Second Amendment infringements ever touted by a presidential candidate. A vote for Biden is a vote for the obliteration of the Second Amendment as we know it.
