Finding the right holster can be trying at times. Maybe you find one that looks comfortable, but it doesn’t accept optics. Or you find one with a pattern or print you really like but they don’t have it in your pistol model. With this in mind, Blackhawk introduces a new system, allowing you to select the options you want in your own custom-built holster.
Blackhawk Custom-Built Holster
When you first arrive at the custom builder you are presented with your choice of platform to build on. You can select either IWB (inside the waistband) or OWB (outside the waistband) as your base. Once you make your selection you move on to a page full of options to choose from.
Your first selection is your firearm manufacturer and model, out of a long list of popular models. Next, you select which hand you will carrying it for. Then, you move on to the finish color or pattern/print options. For the IWB there is only a Front Finish option, because it is a taco style holster. However, the OWB holster is a pancake style holster and has a Front Finish and Back Finish.
When selecting the finish, you are presented with options between solid colors, carbon fiber colors (made of Boltaron), camo patterns and specialty prints. As a result, your holster will be as unique to you as your firearm selection.
Finally, you finish by getting to the nitty gritty an select your belt loop size, red-dot compatible options, aftermarket raised sight options and threaded barrel compatibility. Once you have finished selecting the options for your custom-built holster, Blackhawk takes over. Each holster is constructed of heavy-mil 0.08” thick Kydex and will be ready to ship within three business days.
