The U.S. Air Force has awarded Boeing a five-year contract worth up to $750 million for continued work on their fleet of B-1 bombers. The deal is for one-year base period and four one-year options.
The contract stipulates that Boeing provide integrated engineering services for the B-1 weapon system, including computer network support, technical analysis, engineering feasibility studies, flight safety analysis and more. Additionally, Boeing will provide weapon system enhancement and development, as well as integration and configuration management, according to the Department of Defense.
Work on the contract will be performed at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Okla., and is expected to be completed at year’s end.
