The .450 Bushmaster barrel boasts a button-rifled design. It’s machined from 4150 GBQ mil-spec steel. It also uses a .750-inch gas-block journal that works with a number of different aftermarket components. The barrel measures 16 inches in length with a 1:16 twist rate. It’s also threaded for use with suppressors. In addition, it’s machined with an 11-degree target crown and magnetic particle inspected.
The .458 SOCOM barrel boasts many of the same characteristics as its .450 Bushmaster counterpart. It’s constructed from 4150 GBQ mil-spec, bar-stock, stress-relieved and nitride-treated steel; it’s threaded for suppressors; and it has an 11-degree target crown. The barrel length on this one is also 16 inches. However, it features a 1:14 twist rate, and the gas block is .875 inches in diameter. This barrel is also button-rifled with traditional land-and-groove rifling, Brownells says.
Brownells ships both barrels out with a bolt and a removable 3-post muzzle brake. Lastly, MSRP on each model is $309. See the features and a video below. For even more info, go to Brownells.com.
