Browning has expanded their line of Citori 725 shotguns with the addition of 20 gauge Field and Sporting over and under models.
These new lightweight 20-gauge variants come with the same features as the other 725 models, including the Fire Lite Mechanical Trigger System and full-width hinge pin and tapered locking bolt receiver design.
As the press release notes, the 20 gauge Citori 725 utilizes Browning’s Inflex II recoil pad in an effort to reduce felt recoil and increase the speed and accuracy of follow-up shots. This pad diverts recoil down and away from the face of the shooter. Other features of the new 20 gauge model include the use of Browning’s Back Bored Technology barrels with Vector Pro lengthened forcing cones and the new Invector-DS choke tube system. This helps create a more consistent shot pattern.
The Field model of the 20 gauge Citori 725 comes in 26” or 28” barrels which boast a steel construction and a polished blued finish. It has a silver nitride finish receiver engraved with game bird scenes, a chrome plated chamber, a Grade II/III stock with a gloss oil finish, and an ivory bead front sight. This model is available at an MSRP of $2,469.99.
Meanwhile, Browning’s 20 gauge Sporting model of the Citori 725 also has a Silver nitride finish receiver, but with gold accented target engraving. In addition, it comes in 28”, 30” or 32” barrel lengths, and has a Grade III/IV walnut stock with a gloss oil finish. MSRP is $3,139.99.
