Bushnell Bone Collector Laser Rangefinder 1000 & 1800 Series

Working with Michael Waddell, Nick Mundt, and Travis “T-Bone” Turner, of Bone Collector, Bushnell releases two new laser rangefinder models. Just in time for hunting season, the rangefinders promise a sturdy, water-resistant construction for harsh environments. Not to mention the addition of new tools like Applied Ballistics in the 1800 model.

Featuring a rugged, ergonomic construction and IPX4 water-resistant rating, the Bone Collector rangefinders are ready for the elements. However, it is worth noting that IPX4 can only withstand splashes of water and not full submersion. So, a waterproof case might be in order if you hunt in an area where submersion is a possibility.

Starting with the Bone Collector 1000, the model features a fully multi-coated, all-glass optical system. As a result, the unit boasts a 2x brighter operation than other laser rangefinders for dim conditions at dawn and dusk, according to the company. Additionally, the Bone Collector 1000 delivers simple, one-button operation for one-handed use.

Featuring 1-yard accuracy out to 1,000 yards, the rangefinder displays line-of-sight distances as well as ARC (angle range compensation) distances. As a result, you get true distance at high or low shooting angles for both bow and rifle hunters. Likewise, scan mode provides ranges of up to 4x a second for fast-ranging, all displayed in the Vivid Display Reticle.

The Bone Collector 1800 builds on the features of the 1000 with extended ranging capabilities out to 1,800 yards. Correspondingly, the 1800 provides +/- 1-yard accuracy at distance and increases scan mode to three modes—target, brush, and regular. In addition to the additional range, the 1800 also features a built-in Applied Ballistics Ultralight engine.

The onboard ballistic software delivers shooting solutions out to 800 yards with elevation and windage adjustments displayed in the rangefinder. Likewise, the 1800 connects to the Bushnell Ballistics App on iOS and Android phones to sync your ballistic profile. In addition, this allows you to control the basic settings in the rangefinder and provides live weather data.

“Bushnell knocked it out of the park on these,” said Waddell. “We worked closely with the Bushnell team to make sure these latest and greatest Bone Collector rangefinders kept all the best features the crew loves from previous models, but also longer ranges and new tools like Applied Ballistics.”
