Camillus Knives has started partnering with independent knife designers to create a new line of custom knives and one of the first additions to the line doesn’t disappoint.
The Jolt is an 8.5-inch folding knife created by knife designer Will Zermeno of Houston, Texas.
Zermeno has been designing handmade tactical knives for more than seven years. His 25-year history in law enforcement and vast shooting instruction experience give Zermeno a professional advantage in designing knives for tactical pursuits.
“Working with the folks at Camillus has been great experience – they really make the process quite easy,” Zermeno said. “I had actually come up with the basic idea [of what is now the Jolt] years ago, and our collaboration allowed me to take that concept, design it out and build it with some of the best materials available today.”
Zermeno designed Jolt’s 3.25-inch hollow-ground blade with D2 Steel, which is an air-hardened tool steel that provides excellent resistance to corrosion, wear and tear.
The blade is also built with Camillus’ signature Carbonitride Titanium that won’t flake, blister, chip or peel, is non-stick and is up to 10 times harder than untreated steel.
The Jolt is constructed with custom Carbon Fiber handles and features a subtle pattern, designed by Zermeno to enhance the handle’s curved shape. A dual thumb-stud opener, liner lock and a large pocket clip are also integrated into the design. Like all Camillus products, the Jolt comes with a Lifetime Warranty.
The Jolt is available for $114.99.
