New for 2014, Snugpak — a company based in the United Kingdom which specializes in manufacturing tactical clothing and accessories — has introduced their new four-person tent: The Cave. This spacious tent is constructed from the same fabrics, components and DAC Featherlite NSL anodized poles as the other tents from Snugpak. However, the difference maker here is that — unlike the Scorpion 2, Scorpion 3 and the Bunker tent — the Cave is not a Fly-First Pitch tent. As a result of its large size, the inner tent of the Cave must be constructed first, and then the fly. The Cave has two doors for easy access. If the fly is used, each door has a unique vestibule. One vestibule has a single zip in the center, while the other has two zips which creates a wind-blocked entrance if only one portion is used for access.

The Cave also comes with 25 Alloy stakes and a basic repair kit so that repairs can be made on the move. In addition, this new four-person tent is made from 50D Polyester No-See-Um-Mesh, and the inner tent is constructed of 190t Nylon with Polyester Mesh. All DAC Poles for the tent are made from TH72M aluminum, and the flysheet is a lightweight 210t Polyester RipStop pu with a 5000mm waterproof polyurethane coating.
