CCI Maxi-Mag Clean-22 Extends Range, Power in New 22 WMR Load

CCI recently announced it added its Clean-22 coating technology to a new 22 WMR ammunition. The resulting round delivers even more range and power to the venerable little 22 WMR CCI Max-Mag Clean-22 Segmented Hollow Point (SHP).

The Clean-22 SHP uses an exclusive polymer bullet coating to greatly reduce copper and lead fouling in the barrel. The round leaves far less residue, according to CCI.

The 46-grain SHP bullet spits into three equal-size pieces on impact. The design triples the number of wound channels. The polymer bullet coating allows this separation at much lower velocities and longer distances than a conventional copper jacket. CCI optimizes the bullet’s overall geometry for accuracy. A dependable CCI primer and propellant provide dependable cycling through semi-autos and all 22 WMR firearms, according to CCI.
