C&H Precision offers a Direct Mount Optics line that lets you ditch the mounting plate. Including an optic model for seven popular pistol manufacturers, you can now mount your optic directly to your pistol. Included in the list of compatible manufacturers are HK, CZ, Glock, SIG Sauer, Smith & Wesson, Taurus, and Walther.
The C&H Precision Direct Mount Optics Line
Constructed of a CNC-machined, one-piece 7075 aluminum aircraft body, the line features 100% shockproof durability, according to the company. As a result, the optics can withstand a 1,500gs force 1,000 times, making it capable of tolerating the recoil from +P and +P+ ammunition. Likewise, an IPX7 waterproof rating allows the optics to operate after submersion in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes.
Designed specifically for concealed carry, each model features carry-friendly dimensions and aesthetics that fit its pistol pairing. However, the small optics have lens diameters of 20mm – 27mm (depending on the model) for a good sight picture. Likewise, weighing only 1 – 1.4 ounces (depending on the model), the optics will not adversely affect slide operation.
Available with red or green dot options, the DMO line features a 3 MOA dot with 34 MOA circle multi-reticle. Correspondingly, windage and elevation are both adjustable with a click value of 1 MOA per click. HK, CZ, S&W, Walther, Glock, and Taurus models have an adjustable range of 35 MOA (total 70 MOA), while the SIG model has a range of 45 MOA (total 90 MOA).
Operating on a single CR1632 3V lithium battery, the DMO line boasts a battery life of up to 50,000 hours. Correspondingly, a Smart Power Management system preserves battery life with an auto-off function after 5 minutes of inactivity. However, a motion-controlled shake-awake feature ensures that the optic is ready to go when you need it most. Finally, the DMO line includes 10 brightness level settings, with levels 1 and 2 being night vision compatible.
