Chiappa has revolutionized the classic revolver design with its Rhino series. With rounds fired from the bottom cylinder, this design minimizes muzzle flip by pushing the recoil straight back into the shooter’s hand, allowing for faster, more accurate follow-up shots. Chiappa offers the Rhino revolver series in 2-,4-,5- and 6-inch-barreled models.

The Chiappa Rhino series is available in 9mm, .38 Special, .357 Magnum and .40 S&W variations. The 200DS, 200D and 400DS models come with two cylinders for the ability to fire .357 Magnum and 9mm ammunition from the same frame. All Rhino revolvers feature a flat-sided cylinder design to allow for greater concealment and ship with three moon clips to facilitate faster reloading.
The 4-, 5- and 6-inch-barreled Rhino revolvers feature two sections of Picatinny rail for the attachment of lights, optics or laser aiming devices. These revolvers also come with wooden grips, while the 2-inch-barreled concealed-carry models feature rubber grips.
The subcompact Rhino models exemplify the lightweight characteristics of the series, with carry-friendly weights of only 24 ounces. This, however, doesn’t mean that the rest of the series is heavy in the hand, as the larger Rhino revolvers all weigh under 32 ounces.
