The first meeting between local businesses pertaining to concealed carry and Perry County assistant state’s attorney David Searby was rescheduled, due to the expected winter weather.
The first meeting was scheduled for Monday, Feb. 3 at 6:30 p.m., but has been postponed two days to Thursday, Feb. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at Du Quoin City Hall.
The second meeting will be held Monday, Feb. 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the lower courtroom of the Perry County Courthouse.
To help businesses understand the new Illinois law allowing fully trained and permitted gun owners to carry concealed weapons, Perry County State’s Attorney David Searby will hold two informational meetings in February.
