CZ announced some big news Monday, launching the CZ Shadow 2 Optic Ready (OR) pistol. With a slide cut to accept a plate system, the competition-oriented pistol readily accepts a wide variety of today’s popular handgun optics.

CZ Shadow 2 Optic Ready Details
Like the CZ SP-01 excelled in USPSA’s Production division, the new Shadow 2 now proves equally suited for that division. However, the Shadow 2 Optics-Ready fits within the rules of USPSA’s Carry Optics division.
Like the standard Shadow 2, the Shadow 2 OR features a finely-tuned SA/DA trigger mechanism. It provides a superior trigger pull and faster rest than many other on the market, according to CZ. The slide and frame feature hand fitting for accuracy, reliability and longevity. This hand-fitting, coupled with a longer sight radius and an increase in weight, make the Shadow 2 extremely shootable, increasing speed and accuracy, according to CZ.
The Shadow 2 OR features a nitride finish. The frame also adds CZ’s proprietary Polycoat, a shell developed for CZ’s line of service pistols. The all-steel Shadow 2 OR comes legal for USPSA and IPSC matches. But it doubles as an excellent carry gun as well. Lastly, MSRP comes in at $1,549. For more information, visit cz-usa.com.
