It’s no secret that we’re big fans of CZ around here. Based on the new products the company has on tap for 2018, it doesn’t look like that’s going to change any time soon. New for 2018, CZ is releasing five additions to its Scorpion EVO lineup.
The first new model is the braced-up Scorpion EVO 3 S2 Pistol Micro. Chambered in 9mm Luger, this gun has a four-inch barrel and a HB Industries short handguard. It also has a collapsed length of just over 16 inches and comes with a “NoOsprey” faux suppressor courtesy of SilencerCo. The SB Tactical arm brace offers more stabilization for the shooter. Weighing in at 5.5 pounds and with a 20-round magazine capacity (there’s also a 10+1 low capacity version, as there is for all of these new models), look for this one to start shipping this summer. MSRP: $1,149.
Next is the 9mm Scorpion EVO 3 S1 Pistol with a flash can and a SB Tactical folding arm brace. Designed for those of you wanting a complete braced pistol package right out of the gate, this model features an extended carbine handguard and, as the name would indicate, a flash can muzzle device. Boasting a 7.7-inch barrel, owners can unscrew the five-inch KAK flash can and install most pistol suppressors under the handguard, keeping the OAL down. Dual threads of 18×1 and 1/2×28 make it easy to fit a suppressor, CZ says. MSRP: $999.
CZ is also expanding the color options for its 9mm Scorpion EVO 3 S1 pistol, offering up two models in OD green and battleship grey. MSRP on both of these is $899. The 9mm Scorpion EVO 3 S1 Carbine is also getting a new color treatment. It’s now available in FDE for 2018. The FDE version of this pistol caliber plinker can be purchased with either a muzzle brake (MSRP: $1,029) or a faux suppressor (MSRP: $1,079).
