CZ-USA’s 9mm Scorpion EVO 3 S1 Pistol | EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

Watch the video below to see the CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S1 Pistol in action!

The CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S1 Pistol is the civilian-legal version of the Scorpion EVO 3 submachine gun upon which it is based. Made by Česká Zbrojovka (better known as simply CZ) in the Czech Republic, this is a very innovative and feature-laden semi-automatic, 9mm, blowback-operated handgun.

The Scorpion EVO 3 features a receiver and trigger group assembly made from a tough polymer as well as a threaded, 7.75-inch, cold-hammer-forged barrel with a removable flash suppressor. Aftermarket suppressor adaptors are available. Along the bottom and sides of the forend are 4-inch Picatinny rails for conveniently mounting accessories. Along the top of the receiver is an 11-inch Picatinny rail for installing optics or red-dot sights. Fully adjustable, low-profile diopter sights are included and can be easily removed.

All of the controls are also constructed from polymer and are almost entirely ambidextrous, including the magazine release, safety selector and a reversible changing handle. The pistol grip can be adjusted to move the hand further or closer to the trigger for a better fit to the user’s hand size. On the full-auto version, there is an adjustable folding stock, but the pistol version features a simple end cap. However, CZ also includes a separate aluminum end cap with an AR-style buffer tube extension ideally suited for installing the Sig Sauer SB15 stabilizing brace for added stability while shooting. I opted for the Command Arms Accessories (CAA) Stock Saddle mounted on a Sterling Arsenal Pistol Receiver Extension Sleeve (SAR-PRES).

The Scorpion ships with two translucent 20-round magazines, but 30-round magazines are also available. For range drills, I installed a Crimson Trace Rail Master Pro laser and tactical light just under the barrel on the accessory rail.
