Daniel Defense Unveils 4 New DDM4 Rifles For 2016

Daniel Defense has greatly expanded its DDM4 rifle lineup with four new offerings for 2016.

The four new DDM4 models include the DDM4ISR, DDM4V4S, DDM4V7 and DDM4V7LW.

The Daniel Defense DDM4ISR — optimized for the versatile 300 Blackout cartridge — is now lighter, quieter, and more accurate than ever before. Built around a 9”, Cold Hammer Forged barrel with a pistol-length gas system calibrated for its integral suppressor, this high-performance rifle delivers both subsonic and supersonic projectiles with greatly reduced muzzle blast and flash, helping to conceal a shooter’s location and keep the user on target with faster follow-up shots and less degradation of vision, particularly in low- light situations.

The DDM4ISR’s integral suppressor extends the barrel to the NFA-required 16” in length, so this platform is not classified as a Short Barreled Rifle (SBR) and only requires one tax stamp (for the suppressor). The suppressor’s durable tube is finished with high-temp Cerakote-C, capable of withstanding extreme temperatures under harsh conditions, and the user-serviceable baffle core is easily removable for periodic maintenance.

The DDM4ISR now comes equipped standard with the company’s long MFR XL 15.0 handguard, which features a continuous 1913 Picatinny rail on its top for mounting iron sights or optics, and also has Keymod attachment points at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions. This longer, multi- functional handguard, in conjunction with a Daniel Defense Buttstock and Pistol Grip, make the DDM4ISR as ergonomic as it is versatile. A resilient, attractive Mil Spec + Cerakote finish not only protects this weapon system from the elements, it also adds to its overall aesthetic, so while you’re driving tacks at the range, you’ll also turn a few heads.

Also joining the DDM4 lineup is the  DDM4V4S, Daniel Defense’s latest short-barreled rifle (SBR). Its design is based on an extremely popular configuration that we’ve been providing to law enforcement personnel and agencies as well as civilian users who demand a lightweight, durable, and dependable SBR. Built around a free-floating, Cold Hammer Forged 11.5” barrel, the DDM4V4s delivers optimal maneuverability, reliability, accuracy, and terminal ballistics using a wide variety of ammunition.

Daniel Defense’s DDM4 Rail 10.0 shields the rifle’s barrel and carbine length, low profile gas block. This lightweight, ergonomic rail system affords ample room for securely mounting multiple accessories and offers the longest possible sight radius with iron sights. Quick-disconnect attachment points are fully integrated to the front and back of the rail on both sides for tangle-free, ambidextrous sling attachment.

Three removable high-temperature-resistant Daniel Defense Rail Panels provide a secure, comfortable grip while also protecting the support hand from heat. Pairing an 11.5” barrel and a DDM4 Rail 10.0 also ensures compatibility with a wide variety of muzzle devices and sound suppressors for even more rifle customization. This platform comes standardly equipped with the company’s rugged and extremely comfortable Daniel Defense Buttstock and Pistol Grip.

The Daniel Defense V7 is the first rifle in the DDM4 lineup to feature the M-LOK attachment technology with the Daniel Defense MFR XS 15.0 rail. Built around a Cold Hammer Forged, 16” barrel, the V7 has a DD improved Flash Suppressor to reduce flash signature. The mid-length gas system provides smooth and reliable cycling under any condition and reduces both perceived recoil and wear on moving parts. A free-floating MFR XS 15.0 handguard offers incredible weight savings as well as superior cooling, ergonomics, and modularity while maintaining the strength and durability expected from Daniel Defense. With the M-LOK attachment points that run along 6 positions and an uninterrupted 1913 Picatinny rail on top, the V7 has plenty of room for the sights, optics, and accessories the user may require. The rifle is finished off with the rugged and comfortable Daniel Defense Buttstock and Pistol grip.

The Daniel Defense DDM4V7LW comes with the same features as the V7, except with a lightweight profile as opposed to a government profile.

Both versions of the DDM4V7 retail for $1,599. MSRPs on the DDM4ISR and DDM4V4S were not yet available.
