While not a member of Team GLOCK, Deon Martin represents GLOCK at high-level competitions, usually dominating Custom Defensive Pistol (CDP) division matches with his GLOCK 41 Gen4 in .45 AUTO. Deon Martin is a retired law enforcement officer with over 23 years of police and corporate security experience, including a half dozen years as a security and intelligence contractor with the U.S. Department of State, seconded to the United Nations International Police in Europe and two years with the U.S. Department of Defense in the Middle East. Since 1994 Martin has been training the law enforcement community while competing in various shooting sports. Martin began his competitive career in the early days of action shooting with Bullseye and PPC in the late 1980s, USPSA and police competitions in the middle of the 1990s, and IDPA starting in 2007.
Martin currently is a USPSA Production Division Grand Master as well as an IPSC Production Division International Grand Master and an IDPA Master. He also instructs at the Citrus County Public Safety Training Center in Inverness, Florida, and is the head coach of the University of Florida’s pistol team. Martin has also just been hired by GLOCK to be a district manager so he can sell the pistols that he loves to shoot!
