Go Old School With the DoubleStar Retro Parts Line

DoubleStar recently announced the debut of a new group of aftermarket components, the Retro Parts Line. Moreover, the line is billed as delivering the necessary parts for enthusiasts to complete a retro AR build, according to DoubleStar.

Products offered include a Vietnam-era 3 Prong Flash Hider, A1 Style Delta Ring, A1 Stripped Upper Receiver and A1 Complete Upper Receive. Further, an A1 Rifle Triangle Handguard, A-2 Stripped Upper Receiver and A-2 Complete Upper Receiver round out the Retro Parts Line.

“The A1 Stripped Upper Receiver and the A1 Complete Upper Receiver is the perfect start to your retro project,” said a DoubleStar release. “Machined from Forged Aircraft 7075 T6 aluminum and hard coat anodized to military specs, this receiver is a replica of the first ‘Slabside’ upper receivers from the Vietnam era.”

DoubleStar A1 upper receivers come without a forward assist, brass deflector or M4 feed ramps. Additionally, the A1 Stripped Upper Receiver retails for $154.99, while the A1 Complete Upper Receiver retails for $199.99. Meanwhile, the A1 Rifle Triangle Handguard is designed for the AR-15 platform, according to DoubleStar. The black polymer handguard measures 12 inches and retails for $39.95.

The A-2 Stripped Upper Receiver features forged aircraft 7075 T6 aluminum with an anodized Mil-Spec coating. Additionally, the A-2 includes a brass deflector. Meanwhile, the A-2 Complete Upper Receiver meets military specifications, according to DoubleStar. It, too, utilizes forged aircraft 7075 T6 aluminum with an anodized coating. The A-2 Complete Upper Receiver chambers 5.56x45mm NATO and includes a brass deflector, ejection port door assembly, forward assist and dust cover. Also, the A-2 Stripped Upper Receiver retails for $119.99, while the A02 Complete Upper Receiver goes for $217.99.

Finally, the Vietnam-era 3 Prong Flash Hider utilizes steel construction with a phosphate finish. Also, the Flash Hider features a 1/2×28 thread pattern and weighs 1.9 ounces. Additionally, the 3 Prong Flash Hider costs $14.99.
