Two New Hard Use Blades from Emerson Knives

Emerson Knives, a California-based company noted for manufacturing hard use knives for military, law enforcement and the general public, have announced the release of two exciting models for 2014: the Patriot and ETAK (Emerson Tactical Assault Knife). The aptly named Emerson Patriot Knife was designed to evoke the legacy of the founding fathers of this country. It is a rough, rugged, durable knife available in two configurations: the standard black, Emerson G-10 and the special edition George Washington Wood Patriot. The latter knife was built using wood from a 250-year-old oak tree from George Washington’s Mount Vernon farm in Virginia. In addition, each one of these special knives comes with a custom die struck coin finished in gun metal copper, along with a copy of the survey map (drawn by Washington himself) which shows where the tree was located on Washington’s farm. The Patriot knives have an overall length of 9.150 inches, blade length of 3.9 inches, a blade thickness of .125 inches, a weight of 1 pound, a handle length of 5.2 inches, and a handle thickness of .540 inches. MSRP is $259.95–$269.95 depending on the model. The MSRP for the special edition knife is $499.95.

There are two variants of the Emerson ETAK knife: the ETAK A and ETAK B. Each knife offers a tactical knife design with combat proven materials. It is designed to be used as an emergency tool, a combat tactical weapon, or a utility knife. The blade length is 3.9 inches, and the overall length is 9 inches. The ETAK A has a teardrop blade design. MSRP for each variant is $249.95–$270.95.
