The five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract includes five options years. Also, EOTech will deliver an updated model of its holographic weapon sight and G33 clip-on magnifier. Further, EOTech will manufacture all components in the company’s Ann Arbor, MI headquarters, according to the report.
“We are extremely proud to continue to provide America’s tip-of-the-spear warriors with the most advanced holographic sights in the world,” said Jeff Miller, Corporate Senior Vice President and President of ISR Systems business segment that includes EOTECH. “It’s a testament to L3’s commitment to quality that SOCOM has once again competitively selected EOTECH as their choice for battle optics.”
USSOCOM units have used advanced holography weapon sights since 2001, according to EOTech.
EOTech currently manufactures several different versions of its now famous Holographic Weapon Sight, or HWS. The EOTech 512 is one its most popular variants. Further, the HWS is unique, delivering both-eyes-open engagement capability, which is preferred in a CQB-type setting. As such, several different reticle pattens are available, and night vision compatibility is available on select models. Even more unique is the company’s Holographic Hybrid Sights, which combine an HWS and G33 magnifier into one unit.
