Exclusive Video: Kimber's Unstoppable 1911 Warrior Pistols

Kimber’s Warrior 1911 pistols are some of the company’s most popular. These pistols are based on those the company made for the United States Marine Corps, and they’re built to last with rugged reliability in mind.

Several models are available, including those with the “TFS,” or “Threaded For Suppressor,” suffix, which come equipped threaded, 5.5-inch barrels for mounting the most common sound suppressors. TFS models come with thread protectors as well as taller Tactical Wedge tritium night sights. All of the Warrior pistols are also coated in Kimber’s excellent KimPro II finish.

For testing, I recently got my hands on the Warrior SOC TFS, as well as Kimber’s Desert Warrior TFS. As their names suggest, both pistols come with threaded, 5.5-inch barrels. The Warrior SOC also comes with a desert tan Crimson Trace Rail Master red laser. Its frame is coated in dark green KimPro II, providing a nice look that contrasts the dark earth slide. G10 tactical grips in dark brown are also installed.

The Desert Warrior TFS has a dark earth finish on both the slide and frame with desert tan G10 grips. Like the Warrior SOC TFS, this pistol has a “service melt” treatment that makes it extremely easy to draw from a holster without snagging on gear or clothing.
