Faxon Firearms, manufacturer of the ARAK-21 Upper Receiver that fits any mil-spec AR 15 lower platform, has announced the addition of barrels to its product lineup, new for 2014.
The new AR-15 5.56 NATO Stainless Fluted Barrel from Faxon Firearms has a 1:8 twist rate and a length of 16 inches. In addition, it has a muzzle thread of 1/2-28 TPI (threads per inch), a Gas Block Diameter of .750″, and a Gas Port Diameter of .062″. It also has an overall weight of one pound & 12 ounces, as well as a “Blasted” inside finish and a “Raw” outside finish. MSRP for this product is $209. See below for additional specifications.
Faxon Firearms currently manufactures both 4150/4150 MIL-B-11595 GBQ (Gun Barrel Quality), and 416 R GBQ stainless steel barrels in a variety of standard profiles and calibers. The first run of barrels are being produced in 16″ lengths for 5.56mm NATO M4 barrel, 5.56mm NATO stainless fluted barrel, and a 14.5″ NATO barrel. All standard profile steel barrels will have a QPQ Nitrate finish. More caliber, profile, and length stock barrels will be added in the near future.
