If customizable storage is something you’re concerned about with your backpack — as it is with most members of the tactical community — then look no further than First Tactical’s Tactix 1-Day Plus Backpack.

The video below from First Tactical does an excellent job of explaining the multitude of storage options with the backpack, but here’s a little more insight in case the video isn’t enough for you.
First Tactical’s daypack prides itself on the Lynx Laser Cut Platform compatible with MOLLE/PALS. The platform is First Tactical’s “new take on the traditional web platform” — it offers twice the mounting positions and tests 20 percent stronger than that of other tactical bags.
The Tactix 1-Day Plus Backpack features a total seven external pockets and nine internal pockets. The seven external pockets all serve a different purpose, including one near the back that can hold a laptop and its components.

Another ingenious facet of the backpack is First Tactical’s Hook and Hang Thru System. The compartment near the rear of the backpack unzips top and bottom. This allows certain items — First Tactical’s Rifle Sleeve or other oversized tactical gear — to slide through and securely “hook and hang” in place (see the third picture in the gallery above for reference).
Although a subtle addition when compared to everything else the backpack offers, two of my personal favorites are the two removable Velcro pouches in the main compartment. They have more than enough room to store essential items and can be easily moved around the pack, if need be.
