FN America has added to its list of state-compliant rifles by launching new FN 15 models designed specifically for Maryland residents. These two models meet the Old Line State’s requirements for rifle sales with the heavy barrel profile and limited 10-round magazine capacity.

Chambered in 5.56x45mm, the FN 15 MD Heavy Barrel Carbine has a 16-inch free-floated, cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined heavy barrel with a 12-inch M-LOK rail, 6-position stock, A2 pistol grip, low-profile gas block and PWS muzzle brake. The overall weight here is 7.1 pounds, and the length is 35.6 inches extended.
The FN 15 MD Heavy Barrel Rifle, meanwhile, is also chambered in 5.56x45mm and comes with a 20-inch heavy barrel that is also free-floated, chrome-lined and cold hammer-forged. Also included in this model is a 15-inch Samson Evolution rail, fixed A2 buttstock, A2 pistol grip, low profile gas block and threaded muzzle with a thread protector. This one weighs a little more at 8.7 pounds, and its overall length is 38 inches.
Both state-compliant models are available now at authorized distributors, with the MSRP being $1,399.
