Following the introduction of the FN SCARĀ®-H PR precision rifle late 2011, Belgium-based small arms manufacturer FN Herstal will unveil the Tactical variant at the international EUROSATORY trade show being held in Paris from 11 through to 15 June 2012.
The distinctive feature of the new FN SCARĀ®-H TPR (for Tactical Precision Rifle) is a non-foldable sniper-type buttstock adjustable in length (10 positions) and height (8 positions) to accommodate operatorās body armor, web gear and head position when using iron or optical sights. In addition, the buttstock is fitted with a lower MIL-STD 1913 PicatinnyĀ® rail for add-on monopod.
The new FN SCARĀ®-H TPR offers the same performances and benefits than the FN SCARĀ®-H PR model. Both are lightweight, yet durable, and guarantee rapid and accurate fire at long and close ranges. They both come standard with extended upper, lower and lateral MIL-STD 1913 PicatinnyĀ® rails, a steel magazine (10- or 20-round capacity), and a multi-position fire selector (either safe and semi-auto or safe, semi-auto and full auto).
