Shoulder Carry Your 1911 in Comfort with the Galco Parabellum 2.0

An important factor in concealed carry is comfort. If it isn’t comfortable, you won’t carry it. And let’s face it, full size 1911s can be a little heavy and cumbersome to conceal. However, a properly constructed shoulder holster can make all the difference. This is where Galco comes in with its Parabellum 2.0, ready to accept a host of 1911 pistols.

Featuring a hybrid construction, the Parabellum 2.0 combines the comfort of leather and the retention of Kydex. The Parabellum utilizes top-grain leather and Premium Center Cut Steerhide as its base. A custom molded Kydex holster is attached to the leather base, fitting 1911s from top firearm manufacturers. These include AMT, Colt, Kimber, Para USA, Remington, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, Springfield, and Taurus.

With a focus on comfort, the Parabellum features Galco’s newest wide comfort harness. The harness is 2.5 inches at the shoulder, providing further weight distribution for all-day wear. Additionally, recontouring of the harness’s strap shape offers excellent concealability, even with an open jacket.

Featuring a new and improved, tool-free key-hole harness fastener system, the Parabellum replaces the earlier screw-and-post design. As a result, the Parabellum offers greater security, ease of assembly, and a reduced chance of fastener loss.

The firearm is held securely in place via a reinforced retention strap. To draw the pistol, simply release the strap with the thumb and pull the 1911 straight out of the horizontally positioned holster. Additionally, the strap acts as another level of security, placed between the hammer and firing pin. Likewise, the opposite side features two open-front magazine carriers using rubberized passive retention ramps. As a result, you can achieve fast reloads without encumbering straps.

Although it does not come with them, the Parabellum can accept optional tie-downs to help stabilize the holster during wear. Additionally, the Kydex sleeve features an optic cut, and can accept most optics.
