The Parabellum utilizes a hybrid construction that combines Kydex with top grain leather and Premium Center Cut Steerhide. It also features a refined and updated harness, according to Galco.
Carrying both pistol and spare magazines in a horizontal orientation, the Parabellum’s Kydex holster and mag carrier bodies allow very fast firearm drawing and reloading capabilities, according to Galco. A passive retention device at the trigger guard and a pivoting hood both contribute to positive retention. When holstering, the pistol automatically opens that retention hood, eliminating any need to assess retention-strap interference. The open-front magazine carriers used rubberized retention ramps for security and permit a very fast reload without any encumbering straps.
The Parabellum’s holster and magazine carrier components mate to Galco’s newest wide comfort harness. It measures a full 2.75 inches at the shoulder, maximizing comfort. At the same time, concealability, especially with an open jacket, is enhanced with a re-contouring of the harness’s strap shape. The new harness also features an improved key-hole harness fastener system. It replaces the earlier screw-and-post design. The update results in greater security, ease of assembly, and greatly reduced chance of fastener loss.
The Galco Parabellum retails for $220. For more information, visit galcogunleather.com.
