Georgia: Handicapped Veteran Shoots At Armed Intruders

A handicapped veteran opened fire on a pair of armed intruders inside his home. The incident occurred at a mobile home community in Savannah, Georgia early Wednesday morning last week.

Lam Blake told WTOC he was awoken by the sound of two men knocking down his front door, yelling that they were the police. But Blake quickly looked at his surveillance camera and knew they weren’t police officers.

“I immediately grabbed my 9mm Smith and Wesson M&P, loaded it up, and waited for them to come all the way in,” he said.

The two suspects entered the home, saw Blake with his gun drawn, and opened fire. Blake fired back and the intruders fled the scene. Bullet holes were visible in the kitchen and bedroom wall.
