Gerber Unveils Edict Folding Knife for Personal Defense

Gerber continues to release high quality, US-made knives with the introduction of their Edict folding knife, brand new for 2014.

Specifically designed for defense, the Gerber Edict features a full-size tango-tip blade with a fine edge and no serrations. The blade itself is made of 154CM steel for maximum edge retention, and — similar to the Decree knife — features a black ceramic coating for maximized corrosion resistance while minimizing reflective surfaces.

According to the press release, this knife also features ambidextrous thumb studs for quick one-handed deployment, and the knife’s lock back mechanism provides structural integrity in heavy-duty applications. In addition, the knife’s glass-filled nylon handle is over molded with a rubberized diamond coated texture. The handle also has a large palm smell and a deep finger groove to guarantee positive control in a variety of different situations.

The manufacturer suggested retail price for the Edict folding knife by Gerber is $69.99. See below for additional details.
