Housed within the 34mm main tube is a 50mm DoubleHD objective lens system. This lens system, coupled with GPObright^TM high transmission lens coatings, provides enhanced resolution. Additionally, the main tube features a solid, one-piece, dust-proof, waterproof, nitrogen-filled 6061-T6 aluminum construction.

The GPO iCONTROL^TM illumination system powers the MIL-SPEC LRi-Pro First Focal Plane magnifying reticle, for low-light conditions. Correspondingly, since the illuminated reticle utilizes a CR2032 battery, an extra battery comes with the GPOTAC. However, there is currently no available information on the battery life.

Custom designed locking turrets additionally provide for 0.1 MILRAD adjustments, with 115 inches of elevation adjustment. The turrets are uncapped, allowing for fast access, as a result. In addition, the turrets are mil-based and include a ZERO-STOP for dialing for distance.

The 6x magnification capability can be dialed quickly via the included, removable magnification throw lever. To ensure your lenses remain protected, the GPOTAC includes two different lens covers. First is a see-through bikini ocular cover, allowing the user to achieve target acquisition, although the covers are in place. Next are objective lens covers, for optimal protection in harsher environments.
