Glock 45 MOS: The Compact Crossover With a Modular Optic System

As more folks want a fast-targeting optic on pistols, more companies will bring out guns to fit this desire. Just recently the U.S. Customs and Border Protections choose three new duty pistols, two of which come optics ready, including the Glock 47, which is only available to the CBP. Now, the company had introduced the Glock 45 MOS for civilians who want to mount an optic.

This new 9mm pistol comes with a full-size frame, but with a compact slide, which makes the Glock 45 one of the new crossover pistols. The frame allows shooters to obtain a full grip when shooting, while the shorter slide and barrel help folks conceal it just a bit better. It also comes with custom mounting plates to accommodate the most popular reflex optical sights on the market.

Reflex sights allow shooters to look through the reticle and focus on the target and alignment of the dot. This provides improved accuracy, quicker target acquisition and versatility. Competition shooters have long preferred these sights, and now they’re becoming popular with self-defense shooters.

With the Glock 45, Glock incorporated Gen 5 elements, such as the ambidextrous slide- stop lever and Modular Backstrap System. The slide and barrel feature the nDLC finish, and Glock removed the half-moon cut seen on previous Gen5 models, and it added front slide serrations.
