The Glock Slimline series, consisting of the Glock 43X and Glock 48, now comes in an all-black factory finish. Glock initially only offered the guns in a two-tone finish. Each gun features the company’s Slimline compact design, a popular trend in conceal carry pistols.

The All-Black Glock SlimlineÂ
Both the Glock 43X and and Glock 48 utilize the versatile 9mm chambering. Each new Slimline features a compact frame with an nDLC finish and a 10-round magazine capacity. Glock designed both of these popular pistols for everyday carry.
“The Slimline series of pistols have been very popular in the commercial market and as a backup option for law enforcement,” said Glock VP Josh Dorsey. “With the launch of the silver series, demand for a black version increased and we began to receive requests from various law enforcement agencies. We always value the input of our customers and are excited to deliver on their request.”
Designed for comfort, the Glock 43X and Glock 48 combined a fuller-size grip length with a minimal profile for a comfortably balanced, versatile grip that’s ideal for a variety of users, according to Glock. While the two pistols share the same size frame, they have different slide lengths. The slide for the Glock 43X is the same sub-compact length as the Glock 43 (6.06 inches). Meanwhile the Glock 48 has a compact length (6.85 inches) and is compliant with Canadian regulations.
These pistols incorporate elements of the Slimline series such as the short trigger distance, a frame with a built-in beaverteail, a reversible magazine catch and a match-grade Glock Marksman Barrel (GMB). The Glock 43X and Glock 48 also feature precision-mille front serrations. Both models come in three sight configurations for commercial and law enforcement, including standard, Glock Night Sights and Ameriglo Bold.
