Glock Wins $85M Contract From FBI for New 9mm Pistols

After issuing a Request For Proposal for a new compact and full-size 9mm pistol — among multiple others — in October 2015, the FBI has awarded the contract to Glock. The contract also calls for two different training pistols and replacement parts.

FBI Goes Glock

The win doesn’t come as much of a surprise, as Glock was the rumored front runner for the contract. Winning the contract guarantees Glock a maximum payout of $85 million. CNNMoney has reported a minimum deal of at least $20 million.
