Remember back in January when we announced our partnership with our pal Gun Drummer? Of course you do. Well, he’s back at it again — this time covering “Walk With Me in Hell” from heavy metal legends Lamb of God.
Lamb of God “Walk With Me in Hell” Cover
In case you need a refresher, Gun Drummer’s real name is Nate Wilkinson. He takes popular metal songs and covers them using the wonderful sounds of gun fire. It’s the type of entertainment we didn’t know we needed until we first saw it. And now we’re hooked. He fits right in with our well-documented love of metal music (see our features on Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan and All That Remains singer Phil Labonte.
Historically, Gun Drummer has covered bands like System of a Down (which guitarist Daron Malakian recently shared), Slipknot, and All That Remains. After talking with Gun Drummer, we decided to partner on something from Virginia-based Lamb of God. The band first came into the scene all the way back in 1994. Since then, they’ve cranked out 10 albums, the last of which hits stores on June 19, 2020.
“Walk With Me in Hell” is one of the band’s most popular songs. The drumming isn’t the easiest to cover, let alone doing it with guns; so massive kudos to our pal Gun Drummer for pulling this section off. Watch the full video above. Keep your eyes peeled for more from Ballistic Magazine and Gun Drummer in the future. Any requests? Let us know in the comment section below. Also, be sure to follow Nate on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook to stay up to date on all of his other covers. Lastly, special shoutout to our friends at Federal Premium for supplying rounds upon rounds of ammo for this video!
