An elderly couple got a real-life scare on Halloween night during an attempted home invasion in Helena, Arkansas
According to the Helena Arkansas Daily World, four men used the festivities of All Hallows’ Eve as a cover when they descended on the couple’s home in the 200 block of North 4th Street on Saturday evening, knocking on the front door and saying “trick-or-treat.”

When the homeowner opened the door to hand out candy, one of the suspects pulled out a shotgun and pointed it at the homeowner’s face.
The four intruders forced their way into the home, where the husband was sitting in a recliner. Two of the suspects pointed their weapons at the man’s wife, the Daily World reported.
Fortunately, the husband happened to have a weapon close by. He reached from his chair and grabbed his handgun, firing off a single shot, which missed the suspects and hit the ceiling.
The four suspects fled the home and dropped a shotgun and a rifle on their way out.
