HEVI-Shot just added four new loads just in time for hunting season. The new HEVI-Shot HEVI-Steel Waterfowl ammo features new layered steel pellet payloads. the dual-shot payloads, layered within the same shell, blend to effectively pattern with devastating results on ducks and geese.

The four new loads come in both 12 and 20 gauge. Each features different-sized precision steel pellets within the shell. Claiming tight, reliable patterns, with shot sizes BB up through 5, depending on the offering, HEVI-Steel comes ready to hammer fall ducks.

“We make layered loads to maximize pattern density and increase down-range energy,” said Scott Turner, HEVI-Shot Shotshell Product Line Manager. “By layering two different shot sizes, we can tailor steel pellet shotshells to deliver a good balance of power—with the inclusion of the larger shot size—and pattern performance—with the smaller shot size—at a specific price point.”

HEV-Steel includes precision steel pellets backed by clean-burning propellant. Each shell utilizes a best-in-class wad and delivers dependable ignition, according to HEVI-Shot. High velocity provides more downrange energy on birds. Two layered shot sizes in BB and 2, or 2 and 4 for 12-gauge, and 2 and 4, or 3 and 5 for 20-gauge.
