Colorado-based AR magazine manufacturer Hexmag has announced plans to launch its new 20-round .308 caliber AR-10 magazine in early January 2017.
- RELATED STORY: An AR-10 History Lesson
Built to operate in highly-demanding shooting environments, the forthcoming Hexmag AR-10/.308 SR-25 magazine includes the following features:
- Firm seating with a self-lubricating anti-tilt follower
- Patented HexID Color Identification System
- Exclusive, robust PolyHex2 Advanced Composite Construction
As the press release notes, Hexmag’s HexID Color ID system helps shooters quickly identify what’s in the magazine, whether its a 110-grain or 220-grain match bullet, military ball, soft-point, hollow-point, AP, API, incendiary, or tracer.
Meanwhile, the tool-less floorplate allows for magazine disassembly in a matter of a couple of seconds, meaning you’ll be able to empty out the magazine quickly without stripping out rounds individually.
Finally, the exterior of the Hexmag AR-10 mag, which boasts the company’s PolyHex2 Advanced Composite construction, also provides great grip in harsh conditions. And you don’t even need gloves. Of course, Hexmag encourages adding the optional Hexmag Grip Tape, but that’s neither here nor there.
Combine all these elements together, and you got yourself a beauty. The MSRP is $18.99. Be sure to check if your state has a 20-round (or less) capacity limitation before ordering.
