Hogue Compound
The Compound features a sleek machined 6061-T6 aluminum internal casing, according to Hogue. It comes Type III anodized to offer a smooth bearing surface to contact the blade, providing extreme strength during deployed situations. The aesthetic appearance of the knife comes in an external, weather resistant G10 material. The resulting knife is built with the strength to withstand the most rigorous tasks with durability to consistently fire again and again.
The Compound sports an 0.215-inch CPM S30V stainless steel blade designed to offer the best combination of toughness, wear and corrosion resistance. The 3.5-inch tanto or clip-point blades are stone washed or sealed with a black PVD coating, then hand sharpened and honed to a keen edge. A double action automatic trigger deployment and retraction controls the blade.
The Compound’s comfortable, geometrically honeycombed G10 exterior comes in a variety of Hogue’s G-Mascus or solid black G10. The frame features a deep carry, tip-down ambidextrous pocket clip. The knife retails for $359.95-$379.95.
