Hogue Knives Introduces a CA Legal Auto with the HK Micro Incursion OTF

As with everything else, California has very tight restrictions when it comes to automatic knives. For example, any automatic over 2-inches is illegal under current California legislation. For this reason, many automatic knife manufacturers offer sub-2-inch models. Unfortunately, it is a tough task to make an automatic that small that still functions like a larger auto. With its HK Micro Incursion OTF, Hogue Knives offers a micro version of their popular Incursion, with solid function.

The Hogue HK Micro Incursion OTF

Part of the HK (Heckler and Koch) line comes a micro version of the popular Incursion OTF (Out the Front). Like the Incursion, the Micro incursion is engineered to high standards for automatic deployment. Likewise, the 6061-T6 anodized aluminum frame features the same ergonomic design, with forward and rear grip serrations.

Riding along the top of the frame is the double action, ambidextrous trigger, to deploy and retract the blade. Once actuated, the 1.95-inch blade brings the Micro Incursion to its full 4.875 overall length. Similarly, pulling back on the trigger retracts the blade back into its resting spot, nestled within the frame.

Although listed as a clip point, the .125-inch thick, 154CM stainless steel blade presents more as a drop point. The stone tumbled blade is cryogenically heat treated to a hardness of 57-59 HRC and features a hand sharpened and honed edge.

With a closed length of 2.925 inches and weight of 1.5 ounces, the Micro Incursion presents very little footprint in the pocket. As a result, it makes a place in your EDC loadout without it getting in the way. Additionally, the deep carry pocket clip ensures that the knife remains virtually unseen until needed. Furthermore, the clip is reversible for left-hand carry as well.
