Hogue is expanding its massive line of G10 grip offerings to include models that fit the one-button takedown Ruger Mark IV, which made its debut last year.

Precision machined to the precise specs of the popular Mark IV, Hogue’s new G10 grips are designed for an ergonomic fit with a thin yet strong profile. They come in an aggressive Piranha grip texture, a diamond checkering for a lighter textured feel, and in a smooth finish for those looking for a touch that’s a little more sleek and subtle. The thumb recess on these grips is tapered for easy access to the push button magazine release.
As the press release notes, G10 is made from fiberglass and epoxy resin layers pressed together under pressure and heat to create a lightweight, yet strong and tank-tough material impervious to oils, chemicals and temperature change.
Introduced last fall and now available in six different variants, the Ruger Mark IV retains the same outward appearance as the Mark III, but with a key difference: a one-button takedown for field-stripping. The back of the frame features a recessed button that allows the upper receiver to tilt up and off of the grip frame, with no tools required. The bolt just slides out of the receiver and the barrel can be cleaned from chamber to muzzle. How great is that?
Other features of the Ruger Mark IV include a one-piece grip frame precision CNC-machined from stainless steel or aluminum; an ambidextrous manual safety and a newly-redesigned bolt stop. The magazine also drops free upon release for faster reloads, while the redesigned magazine disconnect safety prevents a discharge when the mag has been removed. Internally, the hammer, sear, bolt and firing pin have also been updated.
The Hogue Mark IV grips are available in G-Mascus Black/Grey, G-Mascus Green and Solid Black G10. The MSRP is $39.95 for the smooth grips, while the textured options will run you $59.95.
