Houston Man Pulls Concealed Carry Gun on Robbery Suspects

Two armed robbery suspects in Houston picked the wrong restaurant to target, as they soon realized when they came face-to-face with a customer pointing his concealed carry handgun at them.

According to KHOU, Koy Sam and his wife were closing up K&S Seafood Bar and Grill just after 8 p.m. when two men walked in brandishing guns.

One of the suspects told the couple to get down on the ground, while the other started walking towards the register. That’s when one of the few remaining customers at the restaurant pulled out his own handgun.

“He was amazing,” Sam said. “He absolutely kept us all calm, made sure everything was okay.”

As KHOU reports, the unidentified customer held one suspect for police and opened fire at the second suspect who ran off. The bullets shattered the restaurant’s front windows. It isn’t known if the second suspect was shot.

Sam says he plans on installing a surveillance system at his restaurant as a result of the incident.

MyFoxHouston notes that the suspect who was arrested is 15 years old. He has been charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

“We have the best customers,” Koy said, according to MyFoxHouston. “The main thing is we have neighborhood support, and that’s what we need. We are blessed.”
